What CFQ Offers
CFQ offers comprehensive energy-consciousness training. It is a therapeutic system for healing through the removal of disharmonies which cause diseases of the mind-body-spirit.
CFQ is a self-care system for preventing, reducing and eliminating disease.
CFQ is a therapeutic system to complement existing medical treatment offered by practitioners.
CFQ helps those receiving CFQ therapy to better understand traditional energy medicine and thus increase the effectiveness of treatments.
CFQ offers training in healing to health professionals who wish to use CFQ energy medicine either clinically or with family and friends.
CFQ provides a means of spiritual healing, insight and realization. CFQ is not specific to any particular religion or faith.
Training in CFQ Energy Healing Has Six Levels

Certification of CFQ Level One Instructors
A certified CFQ Instructor is authorized to teach the meridian exercises and apply them for meridian healing. Criteria for certification involve:
- Attendance of Level One, Level Two, and Level Three CFQ courses and a commitment to CFQ practice for a minimum of three years (commencement at Level One).
- Ability to perform repetitions of any of the first four movements (Movement 1 through Movement 4) of the Hexagram Dance for an hour's duration.
- Demonstrate teaching CFQ movements or using CFQ for healing (refer to Principles of Healing CFQ Meridian Movements).
- Recommended by panel of three certified CFQ instructors (see Recommendation Criteria) or Master Yap/Chok Hiew.
Issuance of Certificate for CFQ Level One Instructor
The certificate is issued on submission of the following:
- Biographical sketch of candidate with an identity photo affixed. Include full name, date of birth, practicing address, date commenced CFQ practice, training/knowledge in other qigong/alternative medicine/mainstream medicine.
- Copies of Certificate of Attendance at Training Workshops (Level One, Level Two and Level Three).
- Completed Rating Sheet (if applicable) and attestation of skill in doing the Hexagram.
- A second identity photo is needed (to be affixed to the Certificate Awarded).
- Certification fee of CDN$500 payable to Master Yap.
Recommendation Criteria
For recognition as being qualified for a given category, the person will receive a passing grade or better from a panel of three certified CFQ Instructors. At least two of the referees will be already recognized in the category to which the candidate aspires. No more than one referee will be at the same level as the candidate. The three referees will each rate the candidate on a series of statements, using the following scale: 0 not at all; 1 poor; 2 fair; 3 adequate; 4 very good; 5 outstanding
The rating sheets will be submitted to Chok Hiew (and/or Master Yap), who will then report the results. The successful candidate will be celebrated at the next convenient opportunity.
Rating Sheet for CFQ Level One Instructor
Statements on which the person will be rated include:
- Respects the integrity of the teachings; does not revise the frames of reference that Master Yap has presented.
- Avoids self-centeredness in teaching; does not claim nor use the teachings to enhance personal self-importance.
- Demonstrates the eight principles of the hexagram dance accurately, including song kua and fa jing (refer to Principles of Healing CFQ Meridian Movements).
- Demonstrates the supplementary movements accurately.
- Communicates clearly the principle of moving the debased energy down and out.
- Has trained students in the movements and practice of what is being taught during the course.
- Respects the students: listens and responds to their questions and comments.
- Demonstrates ability to repeat a single movement (from Movement 1 through Movement 4 of the Hexagram Dance) for an hour's duration.
